How we pick
The list is built by the same mechanical rules every day. Nothing is added by hand and nothing is left out by opinion.
The universe
US-listed common stocks with a market cap of $2 billion or more. Large caps only, because they are liquid and widely followed. We exclude ETFs, ADRs, closed-end funds, indexes, commodities, crypto and forex.
New 52-week highs
A stock makes the list when it closed at or near a new 52-week high that day. We rank the names by market cap, largest first, and show the close, the change versus the close one month earlier, and the industry.
Setting up
A stock is "setting up" when it closed within 3% of a prior 52-week high, and that high was set at least two weeks ago. These are the names sitting just below a level the market has respected before. Some move through it; many do not.
What the list is not
It is a record of what happened at the close, not a forecast. A new high is a fact about the past. Most setups fail. We do not know your situation, we do not give personal advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell anything. For education only, not a recommendation.
Where the numbers come from
Closing prices, 52-week highs and market caps come from our end-of-day market data. The latest issue, for Tuesday, October 27, 2026, had 43 new highs and 51 setups. Every issue is kept in the daily archive.
